Once Upon A Time
...Because every picture tells a story...
Bodies
"There is Beauty" . A celebration of our physical form and appreciating the landscape of our bodies as it is. Like the bodies of all fauna, they deserve both our study and our appreciation. Here is an assemble of the different parts of our body in focus.
Ruin
This is to bring into attention that rape and sexual harassment is not OK and it should not be gone unseen, untold and unjustified. And the victims here are not wrong.
Connectivity
Telematic culture is the need to connect continuously to something or someone in the digital world. This project shows one’s need to connect to the rest of the real world despite of being physically alone. The arms/hands symbolise the need to reach out for connection, while the sheer shows how one is trapped inside a digital world of today.
Eyes
Eyes, they never lie! A soul may be dead but the eyes are never. Eyes have always been a window to expressions, it never hides your inner emotions and connections.
Faces
Faces are fascinating, especially when they belong to people that you know personally and close to you. Consists of faces of my dear friends and family, each expressing a different feeling or showing a different expression.
I manly took pictures in black and white because it allows me to emphasize and focus mainly on the expressions. I believe that faces of people cannot hide anything. As an photographer, I like to keep my pictures simple yet evocative. I usually accomplish this through having a simple or almost plain background so that all the focus is on person's faces and expression. Also, almost name the feeling being expressed by the pictures. This allows the viewer to get a better understanding of what I am trying to convey.
